Freshology Review: Does This Meal Kit Live Up to Our Expectations?

Although Freshology meals help a lot of clients lose weight or control their diet, these are not ideal for:

The website has a lot of information that might confuse first-timers. A simple user interface to guide customers to what they’re looking for can help retain new visitors. However, I like the website’s color combination scheme and the footer’s resources as a table of contents for the entire site. The mobile version seems to be more user-friendly and less overwhelming with data.

Creating an account is easy and straightforward. You need to click on the button Order Now on the homepage, and it will lead you to a signup page. You’ll receive a confirmation with your email address used for signing up. Note that you’re registering under Diet-to-Go as the parent company. Whenever you log in, you’re directed to the Diet-to-Go website.

The Freshology menu contains nutrition information and substitutions. You can select five or seven days with two or three-serving meals per week for any of these. Walkthrough is easy in selection and checkout.

I was surprised by the variety of meals Freshology offers. The majority of the recipes come from South and East Mediterranean cuisine, North America, and tropical South America. Some recipes also have a mixture of Italian, Mexican, and Asian recipes.

The menu is displayed from weeks one to five. Every week, there are five selections allotted for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a total of 15 Freshology recipes weekly. You have the option to rotate the meals within five weeks. 

Its vegetarian menu comprises quinoa and egg recipes such as Quinoa Salad, Soy Sausages, and Egg Pot Pie. Balanced meals have no red meat, so some of their recipes include Turkey Meatloaf, Chicken Stroganoff, and Tuna Salad.

The price of Freshology meal plans depends on the frequency and number of meals per day.

The delivery cost is a flat rate of $9.99 per delivery, but there’s a 20% discount on your first order upon checkout.

There’s an option if you want to add more extra meals on top of your regular order. However, it’s only for local pick-up and special requests by calling or emailing Freshology.

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find other add-ons like wine, bottled condiments, or merchandise. On a positive note, Freshology offers promotions such as a 10% discount for new customers. Throughout the year, it may provide other special discounts and exclusive offers via email. I think this is exciting to look forward to, especially if you regularly order your meal kits from Freshology.

Responsiveness

The customer service is responsive, and I like that the company sends an email with the tracking number for each shipment. The email contains a link for the week’s menu, complete with a description and nutrition information. I find the complete information for my week’s meals very convenient and organized.

How Can You Get in Touch?

You can contact Freshology through an online submission form or phone, Monday to Friday between 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm, Eastern time. I tried leaving a voicemail, and I got a call back in less than 24 hours.

Freshology’s cancellation policy is quite simple and straightforward. It’ll honor your request and won’t even ask you the reason for canceling your order. I’ve tried other meal delivery service cancellations, but this is the easiest I’ve experienced so far. You have the option to call them during business hours or send an email requesting cancellation. There are no cancellation fees, but they have a weekly deadline for those wanting to cancel. For local pick-ups, the deadline is on a Monday at 12 noon EST, and for those on delivery, it’s Friday at 12 noon EST.
